I photograph what it feels like to be there.
I’m Janelle, a photographer based in Victoria.
I’m drawn to the in-between moments — the ones that aren’t staged, but are often the most meaningful. The way someone looks at their child. The quiet before something begins. The energy of a moment that can’t be recreated.
My work is calm, observational, and honest. I don’t direct heavily or force moments. I create space for things to unfold naturally, and document them as they happen.
Outside of photography, I’m a mum, and that shapes how I see everything — noticing the small moments, the quiet connections, and the things that change before you realise they have.
That’s what I bring into my work. Not just photos, but something you can come back to and feel again.
